(Strategic) asset allocation

Strategic asset allocation refers to the long-term distribution of assets in an investment portfolio. Various asset classes such as equities, bonds, real estate and cash are allocated according to the investor's investment objectives and risk profile . Strategic asset allocation takes the long-term perspective into account and attempts to find a balanced mix of assets that offers an appropriate return with an acceptable level of risk. The goal is to maximize portfolio returns while minimizing risk by broadly diversifying the portfolio. The strategic asset allocation forms the basis for the consistent wealth planning and can be adjusted over time to adapt to changing market conditions or the investor's individual objectives and preferences.
